There are many good brands, I suggest searching your local craigslist for good deals, if buying new Keene is a popular brand, pricey but well built. Drywashing is great for the deserts.

I own two dry washers. The first one I bought off Craig's List for a very reasonable price. It does not even have a brand name on it, but it works wonderfully. I also own a Keene which also is a great dry washer. I would recommend looking for a used one first and try dry washing out . Once you get the hang of dry washing you can always upgrade to another machine. Also prospecting with other local members who have dry washers is a good way to see different machines in action.

I own a Gold Exorcist have own this for the past 10 or so years and it is better than good .... I know the one that I have is better than a Jobe it seems and i an not to sure about Keene. Ron Cohen has put a lot of research in to the product and I have watched over the years and I can only say it must get better the longer he works on it. I am more than impressed with mine 10 or so years later so dollar for dollar it still has to rank right up there with the best!!

I recently bought a Thompson puffer drywasher, and had to correct a couple of minor issues detected once I had set it up and ran it for a bit.  Great machine with the electric motor, and quiet enough to not hate after an hour.  

It's lightweight compared to most depending on your battery choice, and it keeps the fine materials well trapped in the riffles.

I think it's a good solid piece of mining equipment that will last a long time with minimal care.

Do you still use the Gold Exorcist?

MY motor broke on my bellows drywasher (it was a VW wiper motor) the drive gear was made of plastic or bakelite , Does anyone know a good motor for a replacement ?

Just take the old gear to a local machine shop and they can make you one from steel or at least aluminum...
