I'm relatively new to the gold prospecting but have a pretty good grasp on technique. It helps I grew up in a rock hound family. I live just below Hatcher's Pass in Wasilla Alaska. I have tinkered up on the Little Sue but have not had much success. Only a frog fart of fairy dust. Any suggestions to areas up there would be appreciated. More to my reason for this post. I have been looking at claim maps and other information regarding the Knik Glacier valley. Friday Creek in particular. I see two claims at the mouth but wonder if anyone has prospected up there. I am interested in claiming an area to use as a play ground close to home for family and friends. Any comments are welcome.

Might take a look at the thread in the GPAA section, top page and the options offered there as contacts for AK. Hope it helps a little.

Hello fellow prospectors: I'm very new to this site and prospecting fir that matter.. I am a true rock hound abd have been exploring my whole life. I wanted to know of any helpful tips for starting off with a pan and a dream to prospect for a living. I live in florida abd I really just want to learn as I go and start traveling and making money and memories on the way.
