Yes!! Look at the ospa web site..ohio state prospectors association,,they have the best claims in state..try to attend an outing...its around 100 a year to join , southern ohio has the best claims, email me if ya need any more info...gpaa has the swank claim …..over by mansfield

I'm a lifetime member of the GPAA.
I can't afford the dues for the lost dutchman.
I get out every chance I get and find the yellow stuff every time. It's placer gold, so not alot, but it's there. I know of a couple places with fairly easy access for your high banker. I don't have anything as sophisticated as that, 2 sluices. 5 pans. And 4 snuffer bottles...lol.
The greensburg chapter is having a cons party 29 feb in Lebanon, IN. NW side of Indianapolis.
Can you make that? We could go over some plans then.

I'm still in Arizona but the OSPA has many events, and every event I went to I came away with some color. I didn't join this year, since I'm out west but once I return to the area they will be my go to club. How are the Ospa sites for metal detecting? I like to learn more about the southern claims I'm in the Akron area but I'm willing to travel so if you ever need help let me know.

Nor sure if i can pull that off but sounds like a plan. Let you know as friday gets closer.

Been prospecting in OH for alot of years. Found gold ,pickers n flour, in Joes Run, behind Zanesville High. Used to take students there. Panned along US 50 from Hillsboro to Chillicothe. Found mainly flour, n lots of ruby sand. Stopped wherever a creek crossed road. Found pickers n flour in Raccoon Creek in Gallia n Jackson counties. All of it glacial drift. Best after heavy flooding where sand n gravel deposited. Good bit of black sand but not always.

I've panned along the Kokosing River. Placier is there. I wish I had the experience then that I have now, I might have walked away with more than the flakes I caught. This summer I hope to be able to visit there again. Maybe we could do a meet up?

Check water levels at the Swank before you go. If it hasn't rained for 3 or 4 days it will probably be low enough.
