Here it is Jan 9th and STILL no 2016 LDMA outings listed. Another thread said they should be up by Dec 2015

Michael: Glad to hear you are looking at the outings. The schedule has been out since about Christmas. May be you are looking in the wrong place. Pun intended -- I have been looking in all the wrong places for years! I'm not sure where (on the GPAA Site) the information is but if you access to Facebook check "Lost Duchman's Mining Assoc."   Most camps now have a Facebook Events page also. For example see "Burnt River GPAA-LDMA 7 day outing"

The dates I have ARE UNOFFICIAL as there could be mistakes and/or updates that I don't know about.
    Stanton: Mar 20-26
    Italian Bar: Mar 24-30
    Scott River: May 22-28
    Burnt River: May 29-June 4
    Loud Mine: Sept 18-24
    Vein Mtn. Sept 25-Oct 1
    Stanton: Oct 16-22
    Duisenberg: Oct 23-29

I'll be gone for about the next three weeks (or at least off-line) but I hope this helps!

May we both look in the right places and find some gold in the bottom of the pan!

    Nancy

Clifton: These outings are held at one of the LDMA camps.  It is my understanding that as a GPAA member, you can attend one outing per year. As a GPAA Lifetimer, you can attend every six months, As an LDMA member, you can attend as many outings in a year as you desire plus stay at the camps anytime you wish. Again, I am NOT official so call Temecula and verify.

Nancy, thank you for posting the outings.
If you look at the top of this (and any page on this site) hold mouse over the "community" tab you will see and "events" sub-tab. In that there are gold shows, LDMA outings, chapter events and so on. Seems everything else is updated except the LDMA outing section. Once again, thanks

Hey everyone, please refer to Jim's link above or here for quick reference - https://www.facebook.com/LDMACAMPS/events

We will continue to update the events on this page with information along with the Official Facebook LDMA page as an easy to use and access platform. You do not have to belong to Facebook to see the information, only a user to actually comment and say you are attending or interested in going.

To attend any of the events you can also refer to the number Jim provided above - 951-375-3320

Thanks Jim for helping to spread the word!

    Happy prospecting,
    Paul

Loud mine will be great this year too. The vein you all hit in the fall is still there. I live close to Loud Mine and will be going there too. But Stanton is the long drive for me, a new group of people to meet and new prospecting technics.

My understanding, from Joe the caretaker at Loud Mine, is that digging across the creek is off limits. This was the case when we were there over Thanksgiving.

Joe is always on the spot with a common pile though. I got decent color from the 15 buckets that I ran when I was there.

I found out the old riverbed "vein" is still off limits at the Loud Mine camp. I'm sure the pit is full of water anyway.

Miner Mikey will be at Loud Mine the last week of March until the middle of April to get all the gold unless that gold hog 45 bucket Jim beats me up there.

Thanks for the list of outings. Joined the Facebook page also.
Our question is, being lifetime members, what is the camping situation? Is a camping spot include or does
It cost to camp? We haven't ever attended an outing before, so this is all new to us. Thanks for any information.

The outings that I have attended, tent camping has no additional charge.
RV or you could tent camp in an RV space with electric and water with an extra charge.

The only additional camping charges are if you connect to utilities. Each camp that has utilities available has a set daily charge that covers the usage. It is minimal 9i.e. Stanton full hookups are currently $10 per day, Loud Mine is $3.50 and Vein Mountain is $4.50 just to say a few.
Call into the office for more details
