Take NM Hwy 54 to Ancho, turn East onto Ancho Hwy, follow curve in road to left and go .2 miles

Roads and claim were covered in snow. I wouldn't have made it in, and definitely wouldn't have made it out without 4x4. There are some washouts in the road, so a vehicle with good ground clearance is a plus especially if it's wet.

The directions in the current mining guide are spot on.

There is no way to get there from the directions in the claim book. we tried several times.

I've only been once; and that was a decade ago. I don't know which or how many curves there are; but I can tell you that when you see that sharp curve that bears left to avoid the railroad tracks, GO STRAIGHT AND CROSS THOSE TRACKS!

I think my earlier directions were way off.
