Nice flake gold and a picker!
Step 1 of 1
Nice flake gold and a picker!
I did an overnight trip to this BLM spot at Pinyon Bridge twice. My first trip found almost a gram with one nice picker plus some nice flake gold. My second trip I found only some flake and flour gold. This spot is really nice, very secluded, and I enjoyed every minute there. It was very hot in mid-september. Water was low but enough to set-up river sluice.

High Water, no bedrock exposed.
This was my first visit to this area, camped at the campground, down the road about 1 and half mile past bridge. Found small flour around the bridge, due to the high water I think, but found better flakes down by campground. Had a great time. Will be back for sure.

Water was diverted. :(

Water was diverted. :(
One of the most beautiful areas I've been to in awhile. I went the weekend of 10/10/2020 and there was very little water in the river bed. Speaking to a property owner in the area, he told me that the water that is diverted for their canal from the river would be released next week. Seeing as how I brought a sluice with me, it made it a bit more difficult to work. I'll be back for sure at a different time of year.
