Greenhorn here never tried any kind of prospecting but it is something that has interested me since I was a teenager. I am from Pennsylvania and was reaching out for information to any local/semi local places to take out some gear and maybe find some gold or gems. Thanks and I'm super excited to get out there.

Hey Michael, Sorry can't help you on the PA locations, just wanted to say welcome to the GPAA family. My only suggestion would be to hook up with one of the local chapters, there are 4 in PA. They can really be helpful in pointing you in the right direction, and the folks I've run into are always friendly and willing to give a hand. You can get their info in the chapters section under the community heading. Good luck in your prospecting endeavors, and may your pan always show color. Paul

As Paul said you should hook up with one of the chapters if you can. I too am new to prospecting. I have a friend that has taken me under his wing to teach me. He has been prospecting for over 15 years and is willing to teach. We are in the DuBois area let me know if you might want to meet and learn from him. He is GPAA and LDMA.

You should get in touch with the PA chapter as the one who runs it will be some great help .I have met him in Staton .
