Hello everyone.  I'm a new member from Eagle River, Alaska (near Anchorage).  I just wanted to say hi and express how impressed I am with GPAA so far.  I'm new to prospecting but I'm excited for break up (Spring) and finding some gold this season.

Hello Christopher, Welcome to the GPAA family. Good luck in your prospecting adventures. I hope to make it to one of the GPAA Alaska expeditions in the next few years. Kinda envious of you guys up there.

My one suggestion would be to join a GPAA chapter, (there are 3 in AK), they are great places to meet experienced prospectors and learn the ropes, I've met a lot of good people in my involvement with the local chapter. Most of the chapters have monthly meetings with raffles and pot - luck dinners and some organized outings. It's a lot of fun.

Good luck, and may your pan always show color.
