Yes, had to modify it to what fittings that were available in my area, works well with dry semi dry material, easy enough to clamp a hose on the receiving end and add a small bilge pump and feed into a sluice when working stream material.  I used 1/4 inch galvanized hardware  cloth which resists rust very well, mine sits outside all year long. weight is like, 2lbs??

Hi! Mine is in the process of being built. I hope to have it in business within the week. I like the idea of using a garden hose and a small sump pump to add water. I have been thinking about changing the drum from two bucket tops to a drum that I can get from work as well as going to expanded metal instead of the hardware cloth. These additions should work well I will let you all know when make the changes and how tests work out.
