    Hey guys,

I am new to GPAA and new to prospecting.  3 Years ago a couple friends of mine and I went to Red River.  We had a guide by the name of Jerry that took us to a spot and I was able to pan, while they dredged.  I got to pan and found some flour gold on my first try.  It was great.  I enjoyed the panning while they dredged.  I have been to one GPAA Gold Show since and I have been hooked to panning since.  I moved farther away from any Gold Claims a couple of years ago and have not had a chance to go prospecting, but that is about to change.  All though I am not moving,  my wife, 6 yr old son, and I are planning on taking some time to go prospecting and looking for some gold.

We currently live near Fairfield, Tx. Which after doing some studying is about gold the closest place for me is 5 hours away in Llano, Tx.  I am willing to go to Colorado (Cripple Creek), or Red River area for a few days.  I am just looking for someone with some knowledge of my areas of interest to give me pointers or join me in my hunt for color.

    Happy Hunting,

    Zach Getman

    Welcome Zach,

Sorry I don't have intel on the area's of interest

I know your excited to get started, but wait for your kit to come and check out the mining guide
Or check out the online version in the above pull down menu
And start planning a trip, it takes time for the research and planning
I see over on another forum, the Douglas Crk area I believe is in Wyoming, is closed due to fire

    Bill
So much river....So little time....Get out there
