    Hello all! 

    My wife and I decided to renew our membership after a 2yr hibernation from the site. While I wouldn't exactly call us greenhorns to mining we are to this site. Looking forward to possibly meeting some of you at some outings or just an afternoon of mining. Our main area is NorCal and Southern Oregon. I was thinking that there were more outings in the past in NoCal but I'm not seeing any scheduled for this summer? Normal?  We are both gold hounds and could dig in a creek, river or hillside till the cows come home. We also would like to do some Opel and Sunstone digging in Eastern Oregon this summer if that interests anyone.

    Scott,

    Welcome back to the family. The state of California has put a restriction on highbanking within 300 feet of the creek, so Scott Bar has not had an outing scheduled this year yet while they work it out. Italian Bar is experiencing road issues. The county is supposed to be working on it. Both Blue Bucket and Burnt River are having national outings this summer as well as camp sponsored outings. If you use face book, most of the camps have groups there and announce all the activities. This year it seems to me that the whole organization is energized and wanting to go play in the mud together. WELCOME HOME.
