Here is a video of Shannon Poe at the California Water Board 0n 2/7/17 presenting the facts about dredging. This fight has been going on for a long time, Why do we keep losing? The facts should win the day, but they don't, why? What is eventually going to happen every state is going to be reduced to nothing more than panning, every state will resemble the state of Vermont which is hands and pans only. We can't wait for someone else to fight this fight for us, every one of us has to take part.

Awesome work Shannon...If only the GPAA leadership was like Shannon Poe...We might get something done...But Brandon says nothing, does nothing...And the GPAA's silence is really sad.

Brandon... You SHOULD have been standing next to Shannon there at that meeting...That's what leaders do.

On a side note...We keep losing our 1872 Mining Act rights in California simply because Socialists, Communists, and environmentalist whackos are ruining the State of California...They don't care that GOLD put CALIFORNIA on the map in 1849

I would like to say this: the GPAA supports AMRA, PLP as well as other groups that are fighting for miners rights. It is not specifically Brandon Johnsons responsibility to make a stand for miners rights, it is the responsibility of every GPAA member, every prospector, every miner to fight for miners rights. Shannon Poe's presentation to the water board will go no where if we don't get behind him. We need to take action now by first paying attention, second by knowing the facts that support our side of the argument, third contacting our elected officials and make them aware of the facts, fourth giving our testimony containing the facts in public hearings in person or in writing, this can be done in states that we reside in or not. We can't sit on the sidelines and expect someone else is going to do it for us, every one of us has to get in the fight, if not we will be reduced to nothing more than hands and pans if we are lucky. We have to fight to keep our public lands as well so that we have places to prospect and mine. I for one will not sit on the sidelines, I am in the fight, will you join me please. I don't want to retire my dredge.

I'm with you 100% John...But what did Brandon do to help Shannon at this water board meeting??? This is where the sounds of Crickets gets dubbed in.

I really don't want to disagree with you John, but it absolutely is Brandon's responsibility to lead this effort...He's the Pres. of the GPAA...And he never does anything, he never says anything...Was Brandon there at the meeting? My point is...Brandon's silence is not helping in any way, shape or form. Failed leadership is like a ship without a rudder.

I know too many GPAA members who will NOT renew their GPAA memberships because of Brandon's failed leadership. It's all because of his silence, and the fact that he never says anything...He's supposed to be the leader. What does he do if anything???
