There are some u tube videos on the lr 2000, never watch them and do not know how up to date they are as there has been some changes. Here is one that looks like it could be helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgO-l9avvOU&list=PLBJHlz632ykbnQHxlGXQM_jx8BduFL6rl

It took a bit but I got it figured out - had to turn off some of the layer's- and the grid markers are the same ones used by the BLM -

Obama didn't have any thing to do with it - try the BLM main people -

so down load the instruction on how to use it - put it in a binder so you can refer to it as you get stuck

it works good just need to invest time in to learning it - then it works great

It's taken me a bit to learn, but I'm navigating it well now.

Something I'd like to add that assisted me in utilizing the LR2000 and the PLSS information is to get the KML file for Google Earth and use it as an overlay.  So I can get the Township / Range / Section information that I need and pinpoint that on Google Earth now in relation to a claim.

Also, I've found other KML files that overlay with historical mine information as well on Google Earth.  I like this as if there isn't a claim in an area, but prior mining activity then - well, interest is peaked.
