claim jumpers came on my claim an took 12 of those rocks weighing about 8 tons but did not get the outcrop or others that weigh about 5 thousand lbs. ea. I got the blame from the government and had to do a 10 page report on why they took them. Tom

This is claimed by my wife and five of my grand sons, 120 acres, The White Spike and White Spike Creek. It is against the law to too even put one rock in your pocket off some ones federal mining claim but tell  the government that, they said it was a civil matter when they robbed this claim and another one in Plumas co. and we were on our own for prosecution. Not sure even photo evidence would help. Amazing. The same thing happens when loggers steal trees. I had 7 black walnut trees stolen and the tops left in my field. I found out the loggers name, address, and took photos of the logs at the loggers sawmill. The sheriff, instead of looking into felony theft charges for stealing thousands of dollars from my property said it was a civil matter and then said I better not have gone on the loggers property to take the pictures and had better not go on their property at all or I could be charged wiith criminal trespass. ???????????? Anyway, sorry this happened on your claim.l

They used either a backhoe or a skip loader with a 4 in 1 bucket and hauled the rocks up to the main road and every time the adjusted the rock they would leave a line of material where they set it down. Where the hole is  where we had a hot spot where we were digging around a big rock which they stole. I had other signs  up but the usfs took down because they were offensive in there eyes, a stop sign and a stick man crossing a street that I turned sideways and shot a hole through the heart and poured red paint on the hole to look like blood and then circled with white paint to look like a crime scene and put beware claim jumpers on the edges. have cameras now but still have problems because the new America does not know how to read or write. Believe it or not this is a placer claim and where the whole in front of the outcrop used to be where the stream ran, now it runs on the other side about fifty ft. down the hill. I have to guess that the original outcrop was three times as large as it is now from the huge rocks that have been rolled away from it. The last big fine was in the early sixty's when the famous Knox bros. reportedly found a quartz nugget laced with wire gold weighing 23 lbs. No one knows what happened to the nugget but knowing them they melted it down. Tom
