I'm getting ready to start my 12 month vacation and finally do some prospecting starting in Arizona and winding up in Alaska, and just looking to get a jump on the learning curve. Thanks and Hello from Missouri

It's possibly my next machine and on everyone's top 5 detectors list. It's the very first mass produced detectors to be completely wireless and it's strength is in super fast recovery and precision target separation. It also allows complex programming and tuning along with multiple frequencies to operate in making it one of the most versatile all-around detectors on the market. Along with it's programming capability it can be factory updated anytime an update is available, by connecting to your computer as you are logged on to their website. Which takes me to the reason you are possibly inquiring on it. Recently XP announced that they were going to be offering a higher frequency setting (a 40 Megahertz and possibly 60 Megahertz) which would make it a much more capable gold detector than it already is (currently going upto 18 Megahertz). Candidly I was going to buy it but went with a PI instead. I already own a Teknetics T2 SE and Garrett AT Gold... So decided to add a PI instead of another VLF albeit it's awesomeness LOL. If you are looking for a all-around VLF... Then you can't go wrong with buying the XP Deus but if you are looking to buy a detector specifically to Nugget Shoot with, for a liitle more money you are within reach of both a Garrett ATX and Minelabs GPX 4500 and for Nugget Shooting I would recommend dulling out a little more for a PI.

Great as well as deadly on coins as well as relics, I have used the prospecting mode and was able to find a few nuggets with it as well. If you are looking for a gold only detector I would perhaps look at their Gold Maxx, or another brand of detector made exclusively for nugget shooting. You can view the Gold Maxx at my site in store.

hi bill,i bought gold bug 2 and have been using it in the dolan springs area, when i was making my decision i almost bought the deus but didn't./ met a guy at the gpaa meeting here in vegas and he said he had a deus, went with him a couple of times and am so impressed with the machine all the programs and got the x 35 coil more so for relics, but use the gold field program and am amazed with the finds .have the m6 pointer which is awsome also.when i get down that way bill would love to meet you was going to when i was going to quartzite but got really sick so didn't make the trip,we are looking for land near kingman next year when wife retires and sell property in montana and vegas property.anyway just happy with the machine, since i've been 24/7 reading and understanding it,what you have to do!
