Just purchased a Minelab Eureka Gold this year.
Absolutely love it. Very fast signal response and an excellent detector in even the trashiest of areas. It's discrimination is unsurpassable. Well worth the 800$. And then to boot the stock coils is a little champ getting into those cracks and crevices. Lots of gold to be found with this detector. Always buy a new detector from a certified dealer so you know your getting a quality machine. I purchased mine on eBay for 800$. Then I purchased a pair of headphones as it didn't come with it. I bought the Jolly Roger set by Detector pro for 80$ new on eBay. And I love those, far nicer than the whites headphones I had purchased from a gpaa meeting a few years back. They are comfortable and have excellent sound quality so u can hear the faintest signals I swear haha! And last but not least was the 15" coil i purchased from the actual companies website. It is a 15" CoilTek All Terrain detector coil. It was about 250$. Well this coil let me tell you is absolutely necessary for large areas. I used the stock coil for a few days in my yard and it just wasn't enough to get down to those new targets I knew were lying there. With the 15" coiltek first thing you'll notice is the hole is bigger. It's quite a wide and deep hole as you get down to the signal. I'd say it goes about 4-6" deeper than the stock coil easily. Oh and don't forget a Garrett Retriever 2. The only thing is the grip on the retriever 2 seems perfect until you get into some hard packed dirt and next thing you know the handle is sliding off and it continues to do that all day, thus becoming a problem and there has to be a solution on how to fix it. Glue might work but chances are your best bet is to get some safety wire, cut 2 pieces off. Then take your pair of safety wire twisting pliers, connect the pieces lock the pliers in place and pull on the knob until it's super tight, cut it and bend into the grip so you don't cut your hand or rip your gloves..

All in all well worth the money... super super fun!!

Thanks for the review I have one and haven't had the chance to use it yet. Did you get the 15 in coil direct from Minelab?

I just got the 6" coil its insane it fines flakes about 3-4" deep. Perfect for going around the rocks and in the old worked creek beds and the holes are smaller so you don't have to dig a monster hole and shallower. Finding a lot of gold with this one. Not even using the 15" coil right now because as you get deeper the rocks are just huge and you can't get to the target but it is there. I got it from golden road detectors was like 30$ cheaper and it comes fast. Got the other 6" on eBay from Golden road detectors. Your definitely going to find good gold all day with the 6". Keep your settings on the 60khz fast track all metal no disc middle thresh sens max boost signal. You'll find pieces in the overburden sand piles from the flood that you'd find panning with the detector like that. Enjoy

Do as I did on my wife pick .Use some contact cement on it .Put it on the handle and some inside the rubber and wait for a few minutes and then put it back on .I did this too two of my picks some years ago and they are still on .
