    Hi,

    I recently purchased the gold cube - trommel combo.  I fired it up this weekend for the first time and it seems to be working fine except the water that comes out in the large trommel area (meaning the area where you shovel the cons in) is coming out in occasional spurts instead of a steady flared flow like shown in Mikes beach video.  I am using the 1100 pump that came with the gold cube...the long water tube in the revolving area of the  trommel seems to be working ok, it's just that the water seems to have a hard time making through this tube all the way to the large trommel area....has anyone experienced this or can anyone suggest any possible solutions .. ?   Thank You

    Paul,

    I purchased a 1800 GPM bilge pump (RULE) off of amazon for the gold cube/gold banker combo as I had the same issue, not quite enough water flow. This has corrected the issue. I will occasionally run the 1800gpm pump to the (highbanker top) and a 500GPM pump to the cube itself. This is a great combo for sloppy/clay type paydirt. This would work for dealing with busted up caliche as well.

    ...wow....ok....excellent idea !..I may at some point give that a try. I deal with clay on occasion and that's a good idea to know. I actually got the trommel working properly today. After some thought it turned out to be what I suspected, not quite enough water in the ponds.  I elevated the water level to just over the front pipe flange in pond #1. The water then tunneled into pond #2 and filled to about half pipe flange level.  This was plenty of water for the pump to do it's thing. The trommel water kicked on just like that.
