Hi Mark, The closest lodging would be in Marion, NC and is roughly 45 minutes from the camp. I've seen several people in tents over the years so that won't be an issue. Jellystone Park, a pay to camp campground is just 30 minutes away with all the features like toilets, water, electric, swimming pool, etc. Me, I will be staying at Tom Johnsons Camp Ground in Marion, where I will be attending the Good Sam State Rally that week, but I will drop by for the fun at Vein Mtn LDMA on a couple of days... I don't think I can get my big 42 ft dsl motorhome into Vein Mtn when it is crowded due to space requirements...but since I am a member LDMA now, I plan to visit/stay at other times. I like to pan for gold and diamonds in that there creek!
