Bill, I may have talked to you on the phone a couple of days ago? Either way, when I called Carolina prospectors I was told they had one on eBay. At that point I was ready cancel my order from bazooka as I was fed up with the whole situation so I ordered the one I saw on eBay with the intent of cancelling my order to bazooka. The morning after I ordered the box off of eBay I got new information regarding bazooka and decided I would in fact wait for them. So the 24" sniper I ordered should be here on Saturday, and I have no idea what I'm going to do when the 36" sniper arrives from bazooka. I'll probably just sell whichever one I like less, but who's to say when that will happen. The price of my impatience has certainly caused me some annoyance, but we'll see how everything turns out in the end.

Mary,

I have a 36 inch Prospector Bazooka and a Le Trap.  I can shovel unclassified material in the Le Trap and get better gold recovery with the Le Trap.  I just run it a tad bit slower.  You can seriously run the Le Trap pretty fast.  The design is brilliant.  If you have any questions, let me know and I'll send you an email.  I can tell you a lot of things I don't like about the Bazooka Gold Trap.  I've wrote a couple of blogs about the subject on Gold Prospectors Space.  I could just send you a link to those articles.  If you're not a member, you might need to become one before you can do much on the site.

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt,
Thanks!
Been seeing some bad press lately on the Bazooka. Seems they are accepting payments and not delivering and also remaining out of pocket!
I'll take a look at that site.
As soon as the weather permits me to get my LeTrap into the water, I'll post results.
I did purchase one as I've seen plenty of video on those being very effective. Seems they use a similar vortex principle ad the gold cube.
Plus it fit my limited space needs for transporting from job to job as I move around the states, altho I just got my job contract extended again so will be in this part of Oregon now thru April. Yay!
Lots of gold in this area.
Will take a look at that site you posted. I can certainly use newbie advice on setting this box up properly. My neighbor had an electric sheetrock saw so we were able to cut out the back of the LeTrap to make it a river sluice.
Thanks much!
Mary

Hi Mary,

I hope you enjoy your Bazooka. They work OK, but if they are so great than why has the technology not crossed over in a major way large scale commercial gold mining? From my experience, the Le Trap gets more gold and a lot more of the ultra fine gold. I'm convinced, since I've seen it with my own two eyes. Look into Gold Prospectors Space when you get a chance. It's a great community of prospectors!

The 24" sniper I ordered off of ebay has arrived and it looks to be of very solid construction. All of the creeks are frozen up so I haven't tested it out yet, certainly cant wait. After over a month and a half I decided to dispute the charges from bazooka. I hope its a good product, only testing will tell for sure.

Scott -

This is Kevin Bell from Aurora Mining Products. Bill is exactly right - The Aurora Sluices are for stream use only.
On the bright side, we are coming out with a recirculating unit! My goal was to have it for the February GPAA shows but it looks like it will be pushed back a couple months. Production should begin soon.

Thank
