How do you feel about starting the outing Sunday mid-day and ending the following Saturday at 10:00am?

We will pack in a common dig operation, prospecting education both in classroom and in field training, Welcome Dinner and Friday night Cowboy BBQ Dinner.

This allows travel time to and from outing.

    Can you handle 7-Days?

Sounds good to me. That's a great idea having Sunday after the outing as a travel day.

My only question is, what would be the change in cost?

    Thanks, Paul

Without giving all the details, what is 2 extra days with material, 2 quality dinners, hands on education training in the field and classroom plus a few more goodies worth to you? This will be a prospecting and mining week.

Sounds good to me. Give it a trial run to see how it works.

But your going to have to build a bigger lake, we filled up Duisenburg in four days and we did not use all of the equipment available. Need a lake twice the size or cut down on the group size.

Hi Joseph . . . we can build a bigger lake, but will probably split between drywashing and highbaning at Duisenberg. Lots of new things happening

Sounds like a blast to me. Maybe corner Kevin into taking us out metal detecting one day at those sites where we might find something. I would be willing to include what I found that day in the common pile.

You want me to work harder than I do now.

Sounds like it could be fun though.

Sounds Great! to me. Count me in. How about April at the Loud Mine to beta test the idea?

Looks like we may launch this for all the 2016 outings. Will update with details soon. More days does not mean more work. Common will be 3 days (3 shifts) with lots more planned for the rest of the time.

More time to learn other aspects of prospecting is a great idea Dominic. I will definitely bring my MD next time and learn how to actually use it with Kevin.

Again, Great Idea! LDMA 7 Day Outings

I can always use a day or two for seminars or BOF (Birds of a Feather) type gatherings.
Some of the sessions on metal detectors could use time for some in-the-field
demonstrations. The lectures are nice. But, there is no substitute for hands-on.

    Yeah, I would go for a Sunday check-in and a Saturday check-out.
I would need the Sunday to rest-up for the next event.

Keeping my eyes peeled for the update on the 7 day... this would be just the ticket to twist my supervisor up at work!

Dominic, if we go 7 day you need to teach a class.

    Dominic,

Maybe a do a session on the Mining Guide & new claims/leases? As people plan their vacations for 2016, this info may prove useful.
