On the 13 of Sept. we had an impromptu outing on fairly short notice (sent it out on Tuesday and it was on Sunday.  Had 14 people show up and poked around on the creek bottom that is usually under about 70 feet of water and has not seen the light of day for probably close to 50 years.  Figured it would be pretty good with old material that has not been worked over for so long, even though nothing new would have gotten that far down in the normal slack water of the lake.  Everyone seemed to get something and one member hit a nice big crack and did real well for the time spent that day.

Went back on the 27th and there were three of us this trip.  After panning out the cons from about one 5 gal bucket that was classified to 1/4" that I ran through the backpack sluice and working over what was washed off the rocks that I pulled out in the broken bedrock, I ended up with 1/3 dwt for about maybe (at the outside) 5 hours of just dinking around.  I'll see if I can get the chapter pres to post up some pics one of the other members took.

This area is not on any of the GPAA claims or in the public area, nor on any other claims either.
