I was just glancing through GPAA 2014 Edition and there are no claims listed in North Dakota. You need to contact the BLM or go to their claim website and see where you can dig, they will have a listing of active and inactive claims as well as a wealth of BLM lands you can dig on.

Look into different Chapters in the area, not all are as active as others and please remember people have lives and can't always stay up with posts and emails, so give them a little time to respond. When I moved to Colorado I was intending on joining the closest chapter but not only could I not reach anybody but they were inactive for all sense of the word. I joined the Western Slope Chapter and though it is a little bit of a drive I am very glad I did.

I am also new a member and havnt received mining guide yet. Any claims around Arkansas. I have found just a little flower/float gold in Mena, AR

Looking through the mining guide, it also seems there is a Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro that looks promising as well as a Wegner Crystal Mine & Ranch in Mt. Ida that might give you bring you some luck as well.
