Corn house creek property 187 0
Started by eawebb1160@hughes.net
Hello all ! Me and my wife are planning a 4 day prospecting / dredging trip to Corn house creek, probably May 1st or the last week in April ! I have a few questions from any members that have prospected the property already . I plan on high banking at first to get a hole started, then I plan on dredging in the hole until I hit bedrock ! How deep is bedrock Is there good gold in the creek and how far down is it on average How much gold can I expect to find on average for a 3 or 4 da...

Gold Panning 414 0
Started by goldcrazy2@gmail.com
I'm looking for a place to take an acquaintance to teach him how to pan for gold. Probably within 20-30 miles of Yreka, CA, Siskiyou County. He has a small Dodge car with good ground clearance so obviously no four wheeling. So I'm pretty sure he can't get into the nearby GPAA Claims around Humbug Creek. I don't have a current MineCache active/inactive claim map overlay and the LR2000 is problematic to use. Are there other or better resources so we aren't trespassing on active claims Does ...

Drones? 60916 14
Started by tpleibel@gmail.com
So this is one of those brain farts you have when you are wide awake at 3 am. But with personal drones and little cameras coming way down in price. Has anyone used one to prospect I would think in steep terrain it would come in handy to follow veins of Quartz or prospect terrain before making a steep climb.

The Lapland Gold Rush 3916 1
Started by janderson@kellycodetectors.com
Not every gold rush changes the world like the California gold rush, the Yukon gold rush, or the Black Hills gold rush. Some simply change the history of a region and become part of the local character and lore. American examples of such include the Carolina gold rush and the Georgia gold rush. But for Finland and Russia, this gold rush is the Lapland gold rush, a rather obscure point of history for both of those countries, but one of immense significance and importance for gold hunters around t...

Where Fenn's Treasure was found!! 3004 1
Started by MvLlbus@use.startmail.com
Updated July 22nd, 2020 by Forrest Many of the searchers for my treasure had solves that seemed to neatly fit the clues in my poem. Then when the finder found and retrieved the treasure, other searchers wondered how close they had been to the right spot. Because I promised the finder I would not reveal who found it or where, I have remained mostly silent. However, the finder understands how important some closure is for many searchers, so today he agreed that we should reveal that th...

Renewing expired claims in California 4636 4
Started by guyser1975@yahoo.com
Hi, I am looking for guidance on the easiest means of staking Placer claims in California. The first question: How can I obtain the specific boundaries of an existing claim As it stands now, mylandmatters and thediggings.com will tell me how many active and expired claims touch a given quadrant, but otherwise don’t tell me where the claim boundaries are. Claim markers likewise are just nailed to a tree, often with no information about their boundaries. Is there a simple way to get this i...

Claim sellers 20151 12
Started by mcromano2020@gmail.com
Has anyone bought any claims from any of the sellers currently online I have bought a couple, and there is the company Gold Rush Expeditions I have heard mixed things about. Their claims sure look promising... There are a lot of claims for sale, but I am wondering if anyone can give me some insight on the more frequent sellers. Any help or advice is much appreciated.
