Does anyone know an inexpensive setup for dredging so I can dive underwater to dredge. I have a small 2.5 inch dredge. My motor would not support a t-80. I can find them but the mean price seems to be 1,100-1,200 and I would like to get a setup for around half that. Any thoughts would be helpful thx!

Please be careful. Anything over snorkel length and the air has to be pressured down to you..

You run the risk of breathing your own emmissions if you try to extend the length as your lungs don't expel all the breath out of the longer tube so each breathe you breathe in contains less and less fresh air.

There are a few options in electric or stand alone air compressors but to be fair if you don't have the experience building and using one it might be worth the trial and error as the down side is very costly (death).

    Just my thoughts

Yes, be careful. You can use two hoses, one for in and one for out with a flutter valve to ensure you are only breathing in from the in hose ..

    Two things to know,
1- As stated above, humans do not have the lung capacity to pull air any further than a snorkel length
2- Do not use a oiled air compressor to provide air, use only an oil less compressor, you don't want to breath air with oil in it
Granted, it aint much oil, but over time breathing oil aint good

So much river....So little time....Get out there
