3 Replies and 2589 Views Ned prospecting partner in Northern CA  2589  3 Started by  alexpetzinger@outlook.com I’m semi-retired and would like to work the CA foothills just east of me. Besides crevicing and sluice equipment, i recent purchased a hookah diving system and of course wouldn’t want to dive solo. I also have access to private claims not part of GPAA. Please contact me or steer me to a group of serious prospectors! Alex in Yuba City 469-525-9474

2 Replies and 1872 Views Big Bear Area  1872  2 Started by  bfbutler@hotmail.com I live in the Big Bear area and prospect mainly in the Holcomb Valley area. Would like to meet up with any fellow prospectors in this area to work the local GPAA claims together this coming spring/Summer/Fall season. I have a metal detector, recirculating sluice I built that works great, pans and classifiers, tools, 4x4 pickup, etc. I can't find any clubs to join up here on the hill.

5 Replies and 3701 Views Retired Couple Prospecting the Claims  3701  5 Started by  Wyobuck@yahoo.com We are traveling the west in our RV, staying at GPAA Claims and other BLM land when we can. AZ for the next month then back up north to WY. Would be fun to hook up with abother couple who maybe doing the same, maybe plan a trip to Alaska. Met an old timer who told me of a place where there are pounds of gold just waiting to be collected. Would be a tough trip, mostly on foot for the adventureist. Did I mention it's in Grizzly country Anyway contact us here if interested.

The reports on the claim say fine and flake gold, was wondering about the size of the flakes, I will be using a gold cube w/recirc. water system. the standard cube mat captures 1/8 and smaller but if some of the flakes are larger I'll need to invest in a larger capture mat {probably a Vortex Drop Riffle Mat}. If anyone is willing to provide additional information a...
