GPAA Outings fun, family-oriented events
GPAA Outings are fun, family-oriented events and offer all participants an opportunity to enjoy a few days at your choice of Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association camps.
Outings are so popular that many members choose to participate in several per season. They offer members a chance to participate in common dig gold operations, learn about metal detectors, take highbanking classes, share prospecting and mining techniques, compete in fun contests, meet new friends and enjoy a potluck feast. Members can choose to participate in three-day or five-day outings.
GPAA Claims, Outings & Expeditions Director Blake Harmon said that overall participation in GPAA Outings increased in 2011.
“We’re expecting even more participants in 2012,” Harmon said.
“By doubling the number of outings in 2011, they were less crowded and the early summer outings allowed more families with school-age children to attend,” he said.
“We’re excited to continue to offer two outings per year at eight of the LDMA camps.”

Stanton LDMA Camp (Arizona)

- Dec. 29-31 (New Year’s)

- Oct. 31 - Nov. 4
Loud Mine LDMA Camp (Georgia)
Burnt River LDMA Camp (Oregon)
Vein Mountain LDMA Camp (North Carolina)
Scott River LDMA Camp (California)
Athens LDMA Camp (Michigan)
Italian Bar LDMA Camp (California)
Three-day outings are $100 and five-day outings are $175 for GPAA members.
For LDMA members, the three-day outings are $60 and five-day outings are $100.
