The Alaskan television series will make its online debut Monday, April 5, on goldprospectors.org. For those of you who followed the show on the Outdoor Channel, this is your chance to see your favorite episodes again. For those who missed the series, this is a chance to see it for the first time.
Seven weeks of filming on the shores of the Seward Peninsula and hundreds of hours editing back in Southern California have produced an 11-episode series that features prospecting and mining from the Cripple River near Nome, Alaska. If you ever wondered about the annual Alaska Gold Expedition and the adventures on the 2,200 acre campsite in the far reaches of the Arctic, this series is for you!
A new episode of the series will premiere each Monday. Episode 1 discusses the effort required to prepare the Cripple River camp for the Alaska Gold Expedition. Watch as the camp is transformed from a winter wasteland to a prospector's paradise!
Also, the Alaskan DVD box set will begin pre-ordering April 10 online and by phone orders. The set contains five discs with a running time of 248 minutes, not including special features with extended scenes and outtakes. A 16-page booklet with show descriptions and series artwork is also included.
