The 2009 Duisenburg outing gave us some great weather. It was a little cool at night with some reports of scattered ice in the camp in the mornings, but by 9 a.m., it was back to short sleeves. As with any desert dig, it was dry with reports of scatted dry in the forecast.

The gold operation consisted of several drywashers, both of the large commercial size allowing for a bucket brigade to keep filling the hopper and the smaller personal type with either bellows or blower units being used. We tried out some new spots on the property where we had been getting reports of fines, flakes and even the occasional picker being found.
The caretaker and the crew went out of their way to make sure everybody had the opportunity to have a good time.
Always a good camp for detecting, dowsing, drywashing, riding quads or relaxing with a good book.

All went well and I am looking forward to the next outing at our camp in the California desert we all call Duisenburg.
