OKLAHOMA CITY - The first half of the Gold Show season concluded last weekend at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds with 1,300 enthusiastic attendees at the two-day event.

Vendors and volunteers were grateful to see the Gold Show make its debut in Oklahoma City. The reception and cooperation of all invloved made the event one of the year's best.

As usual, there were big prizes given away, including trips to the annual Mother Lode outing and the Alaska Expedition.  Lonnie Lucas of Garden City, Kan., and Gilbert Starlin of Baxter Springs, Kan., were outing winners. Starlin's good luck continued as he also won an Alaska trip along with Bobby Wells of Plains, Kan.

The Gold Show season resumes with three trips in October. The first stop is Portland, Maine (Oct. 16-17), followed by Lewisburg, West Virginia (23-34) and Gainesville, Georgia (30-31). It's never too early to plan for these events. We look forward to seeing you there!
