Sales were as strong at the Indianapolis Gold Show as they have been at any event this season as 1,258 attended the two-day event May 15-16 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Merchandise was in high demand during the GPAA's first visit to Indiana and the crowd was enthusiastic. The large turnout exceeded everyone's expectations.
Long lines of fans had the opportunity to meet "Gold Fever" star Tom Massie, who patiently signed autographs and posed for photos. Massie also announced the grand prize Alaska Expedition winner on Saturday - Johann Riel of Greenfield, Wisc. Sunday's prize was awarded to Steve Albertson of Pierceton, Ind.
The Gold Show tour continues with a stop in Oklahoma City on May 22-23 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. See you there! - Larry Brillhart
