BOISE, Idaho - A two-day attendance of 2,324 brought smiles to the faces of the Gold Prospectors Association, chapter members and vendors at the Boise Gold Show at Expo Idaho on Feb. 6 and 7. The paid admission easily eclipsed the two-day attendance in Lancaster, California in January and was a pleasant surprise to the GPAA crew at the event.
Tom and Cindy Massie spent the majority of both days greeting fans, signing autographs and posing for photos. Tom capped the day's festivities on Saturday by announcing the winner of the grand prize, a weeklong trip to Nome, Alaska this summer.
It was a successful return of the Gold Show to Boise after a five-year absence. Because of the big turnout, it's unlikely Idahoans will have to wait another five years for the event to return.
The Gold Show tour continues with a stop in Phoenix, Arizona this weekend (Feb. 13-14) and a trip to Fresno, California the following weekend (Feb. 20-21). We hope to see you there!
