Over 3,000 people attended last weekend’s Gold Show debut at the SouthPoint Hotel and Casino. The crowd almost doubled the second-highest total for the year, making Las Vegas the most successful stop - by far - in 2010.

Tim Bowen and Donald Esch were the latest Alaska Expedition winners at the Salem Gold Show March 27-28 at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem.

A strong two-day attendance of 1,779 kept vendors occupied March 20-21 at the Puyallup Gold Show.

Two Californians, Karl Espinoza of Lamont and Jeff Strain of Roseville, were winners of Alaska Expedition trips during a grand prize drawing at the Fresno Gold Show on Feb. 20 and 21. 

Optimism is high for another successful Gold Show this weekend with a stop in Fresno on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 20-21). Attendance has been strong this month in both Boise and Phoenix.

If this weekend's Phoenix Gold Show is as successful as Boise's event, organizers will be thrilled.

LANCASTER, Calif. - Two Southern California residents were grand prize winners of Alaska Expedition trips at the Gold Prospectors Association of America Gold Show on Jan. 16-17.

Every year at this time, I start getting a little nervous because October means the last two gold shows of the season.
