Greetings from the Cripple River Gold Camp! Today is a beautiful day! The sun is shining and there is a slight breeze that is keeping the mosquitoes at bay. In the lower 48 where I live, the mosquitoes are small and tend to come out mostly in the evenings before dusk. Here the mosquitoes are a lot larger and they feed all the time.

We are so busy we all need to be twins, or maybe triplets. There never seems to be enough time to do all the things I want to do, or to check out all the places I want to prospect. In talking with of the volunteer crew, and the trip participants I know most people here feel the same way. As for me, I know there is a glory hole full of gold just waiting for me to find it!

Greetings from the Cripple River Gold Camp! The weather here has been beautiful! Golden sunshine, with a cool breeze blowing the gnats and mosquitoes away. Today the Bering Sea is so calm, that from the chow hall window the water looks like blue glass sprinkled with sparkling diamonds, and the air so clear you can almost see “to tomorrow”.

Greetings from the Cripple River Gold Camp! It has been an exciting week! A new hooch was finished last week by our hard working construction crew; as well as small additions added to two other hooches. The extension to our saloon is finished, and was completed in less than a week!

Greetings from the Cripple River Gold Camp! This week the weather was cool and wet, and at times breezy. We even had a williwaws in camp. Williwaws is Alaskan for an unexpected gust of wind that can reach up to ninety miles an hour.

Greetings from the Cripple River Gold Camp! It’s great to be back in Alaska, the lower 48 is okay, but Cripple River is where its’ at!!! The weather has been mostly beautiful, sunny, warm, with blue skies and white fluffy clouds that take fantastic shapes through out the day.
