Park Service taking over two National Forests
The public comment period on a proposed land grab to create create a huge new national park ecompassing two national forests in Southern California has been extended until Feb. 13.
We encourage you to OPPOSE this huge federal land grab which will shut down prospecting and mining within its far-reaching proposed borders. Here is the notice being distributed by the National Park Service:

We would like to thank everyone who submitted comments on the Draft San Gabriel Watershed and Mountains Special Resource Study and Environmental Assessment. If you have not yet submitted comments, the NPS is extending the public comment period for the draft study report to February 13, 2012.
