Prospectors will have to wait a month longer to have their day in court.

Public Lands for the People (PLP) filed a preliminary injunction Jan. 21 against Senate Bill 67 (moratorium on suction dredging in California), but the case has now been delayed by the court from Feb. 25 until March 25, according to PLP president Jerry Hobbs.

It is hoped the moratorium will be lifted before summer and miners can resume dredging at that time.
