You still have a chance to win an opportunity to attend a GPAA Outing at one of the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association Camps.

But hurry! The deadline for photo submissions in the GPAA 2012 Calendar Photo Contest is August 1.

As long as your photos are of print quality and are related to the gold prospecting criteria, they will be eligible to win. (Photos do not have to be shot in 2012 to qualify.)

Remember, you can’t win if you don’t enter! So hurry, because time is ticking away at your chance to win and get your fave photo on the cover of next year’s GPAA Calendar!

The 2013 GPAA Calendar Photo Contest is going to have a little twist. Along with a $75 gift certificate for the cover and a $40 gift certificate for each of the 12 months you have a chance to win your choice of DVD set or a GPAA Outing if your photo is also voted the funniest photo, the cutest photo, the best family outing photo or the most beautiful photo.

GPAA Editor/Art Director Celeste Bivin is anxiously awaiting your submission, so don’t delay.

“Having seen all the great pictures from last year, I know that GPAA/LDMA members are not just prospectors, but many are talented photographers,” Bivin said.

“This is a fun way to share your pictures with your friends and other members of our organization. After all, not everyone can say they’re in the calendar or that their photo is featured in a calendar,” she said.

Digital photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi for print reproduction) or must be large file sizes. Think megabytes, not kilobytes, and be sure to adjust your camera settings to high quality. Also,check your email settings, so you do not accidentally optimize your photos to a lower onscreen resolution. Photos that are not print quality will not be accepted, regardless of composition or how great they make look onscreen. Please be sure to include the first and last names of the people and places in your photos and, of course, your own photo credit.
