Alaskan
returned Saturday, June 30 with all new episodes, finishing up its second season with the sights, sounds, souls and stories of what makes up a remote mining camp outside Nome, Alaska.

Alaskan gives an inside look at the lives of eager treasure seekers as they participate in the GPAA’s Alaska Gold Expedition. The first half of this second season gave a raw account of the great Klondike Gold Rush, ultimately leading to the discovery of gold on the shores of Nome.

This gave the viewer a better understanding of why people are still searching for the elusive metal today. Now, more than a century later, Alaskan will continue to document the story of a modern-day gold rush.

Alaskan: A Modern Day Gold Rush — Saturday’s at 1 p.m. ET only on Outdoor Channel.
